Dr. Jon Ballon

Dr. Jonathan Ballon is a fellowship-trained hair restoration surgeon who has provided outstanding, natural-looking results for his patients across the United States and around the world. Originally a board certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Ballon performed thousands of delicate operations on the brain and spine for over 23 years, each requiring finesse and incredible attention to detail. But after so much time in this rewarding and highly demanding field, he was ready for a change. That opportunity for change presented itself in the field of hair restoration when, after years of baldness, he finally had the hair transplant he always wanted and experienced firsthand how life-changing it was. In the course of researching the process, Dr. Ballon discovered that hair transplant surgeons have come from many other specialties; and thus he found his new career.

13 years and thousands of transplants later, Dr. Ballon has become a highly respected hair restoration surgeon. He has lectured in several countries, been a member of various ISHRS committees and has become a Fellow of the ISHRS: one of the highest honors in the field of hair restoration. With the addition of Dr. Ballon’s knowledge and expertise, Koher Medical continues its mission to deliver a world-class experience to each and every patient.
